Sprout Smoothie

This smoothie is delicious! Our family enjoys the sweetness of the fruit put in this recipe. For a less sweet option, replace half of the orange juice with water.


Sprout Smoothie

Makes about 6, 1 cup servings


Ingredients:

2 cups large frozen chunks pineapple

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup compact sprouts (we used alfalfa)

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup frozen strawberries

Water as needed


Instructions:

1) Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. If a less sweet option is desired, use half of the orange juice and replace the other half with water.


Notes:

  • Other fruit juices could be used in place of the orange juice. Our family just prefers orange juice.

  • The water can be added to create the desired thickness.

  • Other sprouts could be used, but possibly not radish unless you like a slightly spicy kick to your smoothie.
